Disappearing social posts
Facebook posts with external links have been randomly disappearing due to a bug. A spokesperson for Facebook has said:
“an error in our system that helps block bad links on Facebook incorrectly marked some URLs as malicious or inappropriate…As a result, some existing posts were hidden, while other posts were blocked completely. We’ve resolved the issue and the remaining affected URLs are being unblocked.”
Facebook donates millions
In other Facebook news, the social media giant featured a “donate” button on the platform to help raise money for the people of Nepal affected by an earthquake last week. Facebook reported that in the two days since the button was set up, users have already donated $10 million to the cause.

Google maps has launched a street view of the Loch Ness, complete with underwater 360-degree views of the lake.
Farewell, space bar?
Google also announced they may kill off the space bar. Why? To make extra room for the trackpad of course.
Instagram creates @Music
Instagram has launched its own dedicated music channel. Much like Twitter’s 2013 #Music (which eventually shut down a year later), @music will focus on unsigned acts around the world.
Eggplant emoji explained…
Mobile company SwiftKey conducted an analysis of emoji use, and found that the cyring-while-laughing face is the most used emoji in the world, and categorized the eggplant emoji as a “raunchy” character. Instagram has also blocked people from searching for the eggplant hashtag.
