Pinterest Integrates With Facebook

Users can now search for and share pins from Pinterest on Facebook Messenger. Similar to the search feature on Pinterest, you can open up the Chatbot on Messenger, type in what you’re looking for, and the bot will generate content accordingly. The aim from Pinterest’s perspective is to try to convert Messenger’s users into Pinterest users.

Instagram Offers Stories Highlights to Brands

On Tuesday, Instagram announced it would introduce Stories Highlights. Highlights are collections of past Stories that are compiled together and will now automatically save.  Brands can then select individual past Stories to add to their Stories Highlight. This new feature will appear in a horizontal carousel at the top of the account and is designed to convert more followers by teasing previous brand posts.

YouTube To Increase Moderation Team To 10,000 People

By 2018, YouTube plans on taking additional steps to protect its advertisers and creators from inappropriate content. The 10,000 staff increase in moderation team size comes as no surprise following a series of scandals around lack of policing, particularly concerning content aimed at children.

Nicki Minaj Debuts in H&M Christmas Ad

Heart-warming and oh so stylish, this year’s H&M holiday ad certainly doesn’t disappoint. A charming story emphasising bravery and strength, the ad wraps up with a note that H&M Foundation will make a donation to UNICEF this year. Check out the uplifting ad:

Sonos & Ikea Partner Up

It was recently announced that in 2019, Ikea will be partnering with Sonos to bring customers music and sound into all aspects of the home. The collaboration is a part of the Ikea Home Smart initiative. This initiative introduced integrating Qi wireless charging and small lighting products. Although details at this stage are minimal, the potential is exciting for consumers. Stay tuned.
