NikePlus App wins over mobile users, Instagram finally allows businesses to schedule posts, and Snapchat makes a comeback in Q4. All that and more in this week’s Mustard Minute.

NikePlus App Entices Mobile Users

In a bid to triple its NikePlus loyalty program, the application lets members earn perks. This includes free Apple Music Subscriptions, exclusive playlists, early access to products, and on-demand exercise training while suggesting particular workouts or products. The NikePlus membership doesn’t urge shoppers to spend more, but rewards users based on certain purchases and interactions with the app.

Instagram is currently testing a new Ad feature that blends video and product catalogues, allowing consumers to complete purchases without leaving the ad. Known as the ‘Collection Campaign’, this feature was first tested on Facebook. There has been no announcement of an official release date.

Snapchat Looks Up Q4

Since going public last year, Snapchat’s user growth rate increased from 2.9 in Q3 to 5% in Q4. Adding 8.9 million daily active users, Snapchat saw revenue increase 75% year-on-year to $285.7 million. It seems Snapchat is finding ways to remain indispensable, battling to gain back its market share.

Instagram Allows Business To Schedule Posts

Marketers around the world rejoice as Instagram finally allows software applications such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and SocialFlow to have access to the API scheduling functionality. Although this feature doesn’t extend to Instagram ads, all post scheduling is available for  organic posts.
